Lindsay Lohan's new attorney Robert Shapiro is telling ET that he is taking on her case and shares his hopes for his client.
Shapiro tells ET, "I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all of the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel."
Shapiro, who is known for formerly representing O.J. Simpson in the '90s, went on to say, "Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with. Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan's long-term recovery and sobriety."
Lohan is expected to turn herself in and serve jail time by July 20 after Judge Revel deemed she had violated the terms of her probation related to a 2007 DUI case.
